Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk, Department of Health, CTA addressed the sixth meeting of Tibetan Allopathic Physician Network’s (TAPN) held on 21 November.
The 6th meeting of Tibetan Allopathic Physician Network’s (TAPN) was organised at Gajang Medical Society hall in Mundgod. The meeting was resumed after a gap of 11 years, the last meeting was held in 2007.
Kalon, Joint Secretary of CTA’s health department, 15 allopathic doctors from various Tibetan health facilities and administrator of Delek Hospital attended the meeting.
Health Kalon, in his remark, urged the Tibetan allopathic physicians around the world to make contribution in strengthening health status of the Tibetans in exile as well as inside Tibet. He also spoke about the ongoing various programs of health department.
Dr. Tseten Dorji Sadutshang, while introducing TAPN and objective of the meeting, read out the message given by His Holiness in 1996 when the first TAPN meeting was convened.
Dr. Tseten also expressed that a bigger meeting of TAPN will be convened in a year or two.
Gajang Medical Society Director Ven. Geshe Tenzin Namgyal extended words of appreciation and offered shawl to each participants as mementos followed by vote of thanks by Delek Hospital administrator and Tibetan MP, Dawa Phunkyi.
The meeting successfully concluded with a commitment to promote network and coordination amongst the Tibetan Allopathic Physician around the world.
